• Collaborated with various internal departments to enhance and optimize project team processes, resulting in more efficient workflows and streamlined operations.

• Spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive project process framework, spanning from initial client-facing kickoffs to project closure and handoff to support.

• Led the engineering efforts for a customer consolidation project, which involved consolidating six subsidiaries into a single IT infrastructure, delivering a successful outcome for the customer.

Project Team System Engineer: December 2020-August 2022

        Automated Azure cloud infrastructure deployments utilizing Azure BICEP. Scripted creation of resource groups, virtual machines, backups, and network resources to create a consistent and scalable infrastructure. 

        Led an on-site divestiture and acquisition by a large client in California. Restricted to two weeks of planning and zero access until day of cutover. Managed the transition of data and applications, reconfiguration of the Cisco networking stack, new telephony with Microsoft Teams, new hybrid infrastructure with on premises servers and Azure based servers. Total business downtime was less than one business day. 

        Designed and implemented a Meraki core network and wireless deployment spanning four campuses, 20 buildings, 50 MS225 switches, 10 stacked fiber switches, 4 Juniper SRX 320 firewalls, 300 MR Wireless Access Points with zero unscheduled downtime.

        Designed and implemented a no touch firewall refresh for a customer with 100 physical locations. Configured and deployed Meraki MX64 and MX67 firewalls to integrate with VeloCloud SDWAN upgrades and a current Citrix Cloud environment. Coordinated smart hands where required via Field Nation and managed installations with Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions. Organized, configured, and shipped devices to ensure minimal onsite configuration and downtime. Installed devices at a pace of 2 installations per day to meet rapid deployment goals.

        Completed migrations of 20 customers to Azure based Citrix environments. Created Windows 2019 Active Directory, Remote Desktop, Citrix Cloud Connector, and Federated Authentication Service Servers. Managed user profiles via FSLogix and migrated file shares and critical business apps.

        Utilized Azure backups for DR for SQL Servers, File Servers, and Azure files. 

        Deployed Azure files with NTFS permissions. 

        Reviewed and cleaned up multi-site Active Directory. Resolved issues with replication as well as migrated from FRS to DFSR for replication with Active Directory 2019 Servers. 

        Implemented Azure AD Connect for Tenants already in Office 365. Exported existing users and matched Active Directory attributes to Office 365 attributes such as proxy address or custom attributes to ensure proper synchronization.

        Deployed DUO Multifactor Authentication for Office 365 and Citrix NetScaler.

        Deployed Cisco Umbrella with virtual appliances and roaming computers to entire organizations. 

 

Level Three Systems Engineer September 2018-December 2020

        Top tier support for all escalations of Level One and Two support staff. Typical issues ranged from: network outages, firewall change requests, DNS resolution issues, Citrix printing, FSLogix container issues,

        Completed 1,183 tickets over this period.

        Onboard new MSP customers to N-Central RMM. Tasked with asset discovery in new environments and documenting all critical infrastructure as well as business critical applications. Created monitors to maintain uptime for servers, switches, firewalls. Monitored any application specific services that were necessary for business continuity. 

        Interacted with Executive Level staff to ensure quality of assistance.

        Tuned RMM tool to eliminate white noise and focus on actionable issues.

Configured and deployed Barracuda SPAM filtering and Sentinel Account Takeover Protection.

        Supported 100 companies ranging in size from 20-600 employees in both Private Cloud environments and on premises. Completed 3,190 tickets.

        Advanced troubleshooting of hardware, network, and OS problems. 

        Configured and deployed multi-site networks and equipment.

        Configured Group Policy to support a Citrix environment.

        Migrated clients from on premises equipment into a private cloud Citrix environment.
